Located in the center of Mandalay Bay’s casino floor, eyecandy sound lounge & bar is a contemporary twist on the typical Las Vegas lounge, featuring an inviting atmosphere with an ever-changing landscape enabled by Philips LED lighting.
To create the unique vibe in the lounge, lighting designer Jon Champelli of shop12 design wanted to accentuate various areas with color-changing effects. He created four glowing “Party Pods” – a circular seating area that gives patrons the ultimate lighting control. He chose Philips iColor Cove® MX Powercore, a high-intensity LED-based fixture that directly accepts line voltage, to illuminate the cast-resin pods.
