During Autumn 2010 the Scandic hotel in Södermalm  refurbished the reception, lobby and dining room. When choosing general lighting,  energy consumption and maintenance costs were important parameters as well as excellent light. The choice fell on 700 lm LED downlights from Alpha LED with a color temperature of 2700 K. The energy consumption is only 15 watts per fixture, including driver. Luminaires are dimmed by the in house Dali system.
